Are Australian Shepherds Good Farm Dogs?
Australian Shepherds look the part of the classic farm dog — but the honest answer is more nuanced. From a working farm that raises Aussies alongside hogs, lambs, and poultry, here is what to actually expect.

Health-Tested. Well-Socialized. Purpose-Bred.
Australian Shepherds raised with intention on our 50-acre working farm in Northern Kentucky.
Our Approach
Every breeding decision we make starts with structure, health, and temperament. Our dogs are OFA tested for hips and elbows, CAER eye certified, and fully paneled through Embark and UC Davis for genetic health.
We title our dogs in various venues — UKC Conformation, FastCAT, Trick Dog, Basic Obedience, and more. Our program is built on transparency, integrity, and a genuine love for the Australian Shepherd.
The Queen City Difference

Our Story
Nestled in the rolling hills of Falmouth, Kentucky, Queen City Farm is home to Australian Shepherds, sheep, goats, pigs, rabbits, chickens, quail, and honeybees. Our puppies grow up surrounded by livestock, nature, and daily enrichment — giving them the best possible start to life.
