We are a small farm in Cincinnati

Welcome to Queen City Farms! We are located in South East Ohio, 30 minutes from downtown Cincinnati. My husband and I both grew up in the Cincinnati area, where we began our life together in a small house with our first dog, Marshal. As we spent time in our home, we realized that we wanted to take more control of our health and overall lifestyle. This led us to make the significant decision to move to a 7-acre property, bringing Marshal along with us as we embarked on a new chapter. Over the last two years, we’ve focused on becoming more self-sufficient, raising our own meat chickens, pigs, and lamb to free ourselves from reliance on commercial meats. This shift not only changed our diet but also deepened our connection to the land and the animals we care for. My passion for animals grew even stronger, leading me to obtain my KPA-CTP through Karen Pryor and start my own small dog training company after working in veterinary medicine for seven years. With this experience, my husband and I decided to take our love for dogs a step further by sharing it with the community. We started a small hobby breeding program, focusing on well-bred, fully health-tested Australian Shepherds, aiming to provide families with the same joy that our dogs have brought into our lives.

Currently, we are in the process of making another exciting transition—moving to an even bigger piece of property! As our passion for sustainable living and animal care has grown, so has our need for more space to expand our efforts. This new property will allow us to further our self-sufficiency goals, provide even more room for our animals to thrive, and continue growing Queen City Farm in a way that aligns with our vision. With more acreage, we’ll have the opportunity to enhance our breeding program, offer even better accommodations for our dogs, and expand our farm operations to include new ventures that support our community. While moving is always a big step, we’re eager for the opportunities this change will bring and can’t wait to share our journey with you! Stay tuned for updates as we settle into our new home and continue to build the future of Queen City Farm.
